  17. Rocky Mountain Magic (Thornton, CO) also used a synthesizer in the beginning of
  18. the '87 either as an experiment or possibly just for the heck of it because
  19. they were planning on touring just the first half of the season.  After a few
  20. shows on the west coast they got rid the synthesizer after coming close to the
  21. Mandarin.  When they did get rid of it they started beating the Mandarins by a
  22. fairly good margin.  Too bad they couldn't complete their season that year.
