  11. During my early years of experimentation I had an experience once of what
  12. seemed to me to be an out of body experience.  But it could have been a lucid
  13. dream.  Any way, deciding to fly I lept off of a branch of a tree and headed
  14. toward the sky.  It was night.  I saw no moon.  The atmosphere was different
  15. from normal as if in a dream world.  I flew higher and as I flew the stars
  16. seemed to explode as if they were fireworks.  Then I hit something; some kind
  17. of what to me at the time was a barrier.  I fell back to the ground and went
  18. off on some other venture.  I think the barrier could have been my own bedroom
  19. ceiling and my perceptions were still internally oriented, i.e. in my mind.
