- One...I don't see this as 'stabbing your mother' as the last reply'r did;
- I read it as the 'evil twin' you stabbed. The sword being a symbol of the
- penis is possible, though. What do _you_ think?
-
- Two...I have had a similar dream, though only once. I must say before I
- relate it that the setting is very familiar to me, and I have many lucid
- dreams in it, for it is also a meditation 'area' (place that I created only
- in my mind, very calming (usually), etc).
-
- In this dream, I was walking along a small path in this area,
- (a Japanese garden surrounded on three sides by jagged cliffs. There is a
- large wooden door in the bottom-middle of the middle cliff.)
- wearing a black robe. I noticed a white-clad visitor to my area, and walked
- over to him. When I got close enough to see him, I realized he could pass for
- my twin, though he had a couple facial scars that I didn't have. He looked
- very angry, and talked for a short while.
- (This dream was over a year ago, and, silly me, I didn't write it down.)
- He then brought a katana and a wakazashi out from his robe, and handed me the
- katana, swinging with the other. I grabbed the one he offered and parried his
- swing with it. He must have expected it, because before I regained my
- balance, he thrust the wakazashi through my heart.
- (In this dream, I felt no pain, but I also felt it go through. I
- specifically _felt_ my heart being damaged.)
- I drew back, leaving the sword in. I took it out, bleeding profusely, and
- threw them both aside. As I did this, he suddenly had a bow. He shot three
- arrows into me, in various places. I started taking these out, and noticed
- that they were the barbed kind. As I took them out, I ran towards him to
- knock him down, but he swung at me with a battle-axe, hitting below the rib
- cage.
-
- I don't remember how I did it, but I eventually knocked him down, and as he
- was down, I saw a large rock very close-by. I got it and held it above his
- head, ready to kill him. He said something like, "Go ahead. Kill me while
- you still can," while he was grinning. I then realized exactly what this
- dream was about, and threw the rock away, and stepped back a bit. My wounds
- were healed by this time.
-
- He said something like, "For a minute, there, I almost thought you would do
- it. But you were right, after all. You win...until next time." He then
- vanished.
-
- I interpreted this dream as a scenario of testing my ability to stand up to my
- beliefs (specifically: I'm opposed to murder (deliberate killing) for ANY
- reason), and that, for the time the dream occured, I wasn't really sure I
- could. Since the dream, I've had a renewed confidence that I can do it.
- Another thing...I was (and still am) interested in Japanese mythology/theology
- (along with animation, etc), and it seems the colors white and black are the
- opposite of what they are in Western traditions.
