- The other night I had two dreams involving nuclear disasters.
-
- The first dream, I was sitting in the living room area of a home that was
- familar to me. I was with a few other people, friends not relatives, and
- we were all preoccupied with something, on an individual basis. Then a
- nuclear missle exploded above us and we were all killed. It was interesting,
- however, that I was able to watch as the flesh melted from all of our bones,
- leaving only our skeletons laying on the floor. For some strange reason,
- anyone in an automobile was not affected by the explosion (how I knew this I
- don't know, but I did). With this realization, like Quantum Leap, I turned
- back the clock to before the explosion and tried to leave the room and get
- into a car before the bomb went off again. Everybody in the room then began
- to talk to me and ask me questions and stuff like that so that it would impair
- my leaving. They didn't know about their impeding deaths and I wasn't in a
- great hurry to leave. I particularly remember sitting on the floor to put my
- sneakers on before I was to leave. With all this pussy-footing around, I
- didn't make it out to the auto and again died exactly the same way as the first
- time. This time, however, a friend and I (or at least our skeletons) went out
- for a walk to see what all happened to the city from the nuclear explosion.
- Out and about, we saw that everything was quite normal, except everyone was
- just a skeleton. The women skeletons were wearing pearl necklaces and golden
- belts and there were skeletons dressed in suits and the like. The city itself
- was quite futuristic, with a monorail high above the streets transporting the
- workers from here to there. That's all that I can remember about the first
- dream.
-
- The second dream started with me in either a high school or a junior high
- school. We were quite close to a nuclear power plant and it was about to
- have a melt down according to the hand held radio that I was listening to.
- I went up to the roof of the building to see the explosion. On the roof, and
- standing in the doorway to return down into the building, I was able to see
- the reactor explode. I could see the wavefront of heat sweeping across the
- country side burning and destroying everything. After seeing and instant
- of this, I dove down the stairs into the building, just behind me the cinder-
- blocks in the stairway to the roof were melting away. I quickly ran deeper
- towards the center of the building down into the sub-basements. I met up with
- the others that were waiting there (I guess that this means that this building
- was a bomb shelter and we were expecting the explosion) and joined in with
- whatever they were doing. That's all that I can remember about this dream.
