  14. In the discussion of Arcanum VI, someone asked for an explanation of
  15. the meaning of Temperance (Arcanum XIV).  Well, I'll give it a shot:

  17. I always thought that Temperance indicated the ability to say (or in
  18. general, communicate) the right thing to someone else to get across
  19. your meaning, even though this may be something quite different than
  20. just saying what you mean.  In other words, it is to possess an
  21. understanding of how the other person interprets things, and to adjust
  22. your own message accordingly.
