  25. I know you had addressed this question towards Bob, BUT if you had wanted a
  26. one on one discussion with him then you should have used e-mail.

  28. Whether or not a person believes that the judeochristianity is the one "TRUTH"
  29. kind of depends on if you are one of about 30% of the world that grew up
  30. where that was the domainate religion. Of course everyone knows that the
  31. religion that they believe in(no matter which one)is the one "TRUE" religion.
  32. If you want to get into the ultra-literal translation, that would mean that
  33. a person would have to make a concious choice to beleive that Jesus was the
  34. one true Messiah. Of course that automatically damns anyone who wasn't lucky
  35. enough to live somewhere where this was taught. Of course that also means that
  36. Hell must be full of babies who died before being old enough to be correctly
  37. taught huh? There are those who are born,
  38. live long relatively good lives and die without once hearing the name Jesus.
  39. Oh well I suppose those damn ignorant savages deserve to fry in hell right?
  40. And what if a person is taught about many different religions and decides to
  41. choose another besides judeochristianity. They made a choice that I'm willing
  42. to bet that you COULDN'T have because the vast majorities of fundies' knowledge
  43. of other religions is based on hear-say, rumors and flat out lies.

  45. The most classic example I can think of would be Ghandi. Here was a man who 
  46. lived his life as close to sin free as even the bibical Jesus. In short he came
  47. closer to living as a true christian then anyone that either of us will ever 
  48. know. He righted more wrong, stopped violence, haterd and bigorty and did more 
  49. GOOD in this world, for more people, then anyone perhaps ever. But poor ole 
  50. Ghandi burns in hell this very day because he didn't believe the same things 
  51. that you do---yeah right. Believe anything you want but if you're going to
  52. put all your faith in one place I would think you would examine those believes
  53. very closely first to see if they make real sense.

  56. BTW:I grew up in a church that taught that even talking to none believers the
  57. way you are doing now, is a SIN AGAINST GOD.(didn't buy it as a kid either)
