  19. First of all, I want to thank this guy for at least not being forcefull
  20. with his opinions.

  22. However, I must wholeheartedly disagree with what he has to say.  The
  23. worl is what it is, peopple are what they are, and this isn't going to
  24. change.  There will always be strife and pain.  People will always
  25. suffer, there will always be cruelty.  I'm not saying promote it, but it
  26. will be there.  Thinking, or reading about some person who might have
  27. existed two thousand years ago is rather pointless.  Maybe part of waht
  28. is taught in the bible has validity, but there are other ways of
  29. thinking about it.  Reasons I see to be "nice" to other people are
  30. rather selfish.  The real reason people are nice is so that people will
  31. give something back to them.  Why should I devote even part of my life
  32. to a person that even if he existed lived thousands of years ago? 
  33. Religion was created by people that were too weak to be able to survive
  34. on their own.  Tehy couldn't accept their own existence.  They needed
  35. something to believe in or feel an emptiness.   Perhaps this serves(d) a
  36. purpose but, I see no reason to perpetuate such dishonesty with
  37. yourself.  Accept the fact that you are here and go on about your life.
  38. You may say to me, "have faith in God"  I say prove that he exists, and
  39. of course you can't.
  40. So do what you feel is right.
