Can anyone quote the orginal source of this statistic. I constantly hear it being batted arund but no one can ever refer me to the orginal paper. I find it hard to believe that a woman lawyer with 10 years of experience would be making 60,000 dollars when the man with the same amount of experience would be making 100,000. If this were true a woman would have no trouble finding employment since even an idiot would realize that he could be saving his company 40,000 dollars a year. I have a feeling that they
are just comparing the average salary that a man makes with the average salary that a woman makes, in which case the subject is total different than workplace discrimination.
