  13. I am proposing the group alt.fan.callas to discuss the life and music
  14. of the late opera diva Maria Callas.  
  15.  
  16. Even though it's been fifteen years since her death, she now has more
  17. fans than ever before.  In the past year alone, at least two 'new' opera
  18. recordings have surfaced, and two new biographies have been written.
  19. There is also a rumor that the Paris Opera has a complete Norma on
  20. film, and is negotiating it's release with EMI!  This, of course, is
  21. in addition to the 87+ complete operas, 28+ biographies, and many film
  22. clips already known to exist.  Clearly there is a lot to talk about!
