  11. While wandering through my news system trying to find where all my spool
  12. space had disappeared to, I discovered a megabyte of GIF pictures posted to
  13. alt.fan.maddona.

  15. alt.fan.maddona readers take note: if you want to post binaries, post them
  16. to alt.binaries.pictures.<something>. Those sites like mine that don't
  17. receive the binaries groups do so for a reason: I have very little hard
  18. drive space available for news and don't intend to waste it on uuencoded
  19. binaries. If you continue to post binaries to the newsgroup I will remove it
  20. from my feed, and while the actions of this one site will have little effect
  21. on the net as a whole you should be aware that other administrators are
  22. likely to do the same, significantly affecting the distribution of your
  23. newsgroup to people who might want to read it.
