  22. My belief is that the Green Parties are only a part of the Green movement as
  23. a whole. They have developed comprehensive policies in many areas that 
  24. Governments could implement to try and make a greener world(and in many cases
  25. a fairer world, Green Politics is not just about the environment, it's about
  26. social justice, human rights, democracy and peace), but do not by any means
  27. represent all the views in the Green movement, which range from moderate
  28. environmentalism(of the kind you'll find in other parties) through to the
  29. radical deep ecologists(most of whom distrust political parties, and therefore
  30. have little to do with the green parties). Therefore, there is a distinction
  31. between Green Party politics and Green Politics, the latter being wider in
  32. scope.

  34. My feeling, therefore, is that there should be an alt.politics.green
  35. newsgroup, 
  36. but not a separate alt.politics.green-party, and that this group should cover
  37. green politics and ecology in all it's forms.
