- This thread started with Kitten's suggestion that the new U.S. president-
- elect might be affiliated with the Illuminati or other conspiratorial
- international secret society.
- Some of us, especially the Coots (even us Young Coots), remember the
- previous time that the U.S. elected a Democrat as president, Jimmy Carter.
- One of the lesser problems of his administration was the persistence of
- claims that
- (a) some of his top advisors were members of the TLC, including National
- Security advisor Zbiginew ("Zbig Daddy") Brzezinski (no, I don't think
- that's quite how it's spelt...),
- (b) the TLC is/was an international conspiracy, and
- (c) the president was himself *secretly* a member.
- As far as I know, (a) was true and no secret; (b) and (c) were never really
- demonstrated.
