ArchTeryx, with Feather on his shoulder, decides to make his introduction at
this point (bad timing, true, but AT's well known for that in the other worlds
he frequents, and this is no exception! :>).

"Allow me to introduce myself.  My name's ArchTeryx.  In case you haven't seen
one of my infamous description posts before, let me introduce myself by
describing myself to you:

"I am an evolved Archaeopteryx, a highly advanced version of the bird-lizard
that was Earth's first feathered animal.  I am 12' tall with an approximately
20' (over 6 meter) wingspan.  I stand upright like most 'morphs do, on
digitigrade talons.  On my wings I have two 'handclaws' - with a true wrist and
palm, each with three fingerclaws.

"My head, neck, and chest are bare of feathers except for a blocky white crest
and a very thick stole-like ruff around my neck and chest, shaped like an
inverted teardrop. My beak is rather vulture-like, but rather then being made
of horn, it is made of soft flesh and cartilage, much like the human ear or
nose, and I can bend it to form facial expressions. Instead of the standard
set of tailfeathers, I have a long double layered, fully feathered, flap of
skin that is rather like an oval throw-rug, starting narrow at the rump and
getting very broad at the end, almost three feet broad.

"Finally, my irises are covered over with a membrane that flexes with their
opening and closing the pupil.  This membrane gives them the appearance of
being made of thousands of very tiny prisms, underlaid with green.  It makes my
eyes quite literally glitter."

ArchTeryx sits down next to the ThunderKat, and skritches him behind the ears,
as he says, "And yes, I've had several hundred pounds of kitty sitting on me,
when I more or less acted as a throwrug for Mytu the sabre-toothed tiger back
on my homeworld.  *That* was an experience, I'll tell you."

ArchTeryx then goes quiet for a bit, skritching TK behind his ears.
