- I just wonder is there any smart guys/girls in your BBS have the experience
- on
- setting up UNIX-workstation network ? If yes, can he/she answer the
- following question:

- Q1. How can I set up my local workstations so that they can connect to other
- machine in the world through INTERNET ? What is the minimal hardware or
- software to do that ? Would anyone tell me how to do it briefly ?

- Q2. How can I set up UUCP in my local workstations ?

- Q3. How can I set up the NIS/Yellow Page in my local workstations ?

- Currently, I work for a telephone company in which I got the above question.
- The configuration of the UNIX machine is listed as following:

- 3 * SUN's IPX workstation (16 RAM + 207 MB & 1.3 GB HD )
- running on SUN OS 4.1.2 with Open Look Windows 3.0
- 1 * SUN's 630MP Server (64 RAM + 6*1.3 GB HD) software platform same
- as above

- 2 * SGI's 4D/35 workstation (16 RAM + 200 MB & 1.3 GB HD)
- running on SGI IRIX 4.1 with Motif Windows

- 1 * DEC's 5000 workstation (16 RAM + 200 MB & 1.3 GB HD)
- running on DEC ULTRIX 4.2 with DEC Windows
