  12. I'm currently running a small bbs using Magpie for DOS (anybody else out
  13. there doing the same?).  Eventually, I hope to move the board from the small
  14. XT compatible computer it currently is on to my 386 16 MHz machine that has
  15. four megs of ram and an 80 meg hard drive.  My intention is to continue
  16. running Magpie but, as most of you no doubt are aware, there is a version of
  17. Magpie available for Unix as well.  I have been kicking around the idea of
  18. putting Unix on my machine and running the board under it but, before I do
  19. that, I would appreciate some advice on whether or not that is actually a
  20. good idea.  I don't intend to get into multinode bbs'ing anytime soon, if at
  21. all, and I don't know if there is much of a selection of door programs which
  22. can be run on under Unix.  Also, if I do switch to Unix, which version would
  23. be the best?  Should I go with BSD386, Linux, Coherent, or some other
  24. version?  So, if you are currently running a board under Unix, especially if
  25. you are running Magpie, I would appreciate any input you have.
