- I'll second that opinion, and recommend linux as the operating system.

- It is a FREE unix clone for 386/486 machines. It works very well, and in
- fact I'm now doing precisely what the original poster was talking about.
- All the usenet type things work: uucp, mail, news ... look through
- comp.os.linux for more details.
