- --Blood pools only if you're dead. Fluids can collect - ie if the osmotic
- pressure, ph, etc is bollixed up. If ou walk for a long time with
- your arms down, you may notice a tightness in your fingers and hands - this
- is not blood -but fluids. Only rarely will blood "pool", and that's if you
- have a condition that involves having weakened or absent valves
- in your veins, or even inelastic veins, but then, only if the pumping
- action of the heart is so weak that it cant force the blood back through the
- veinous system. -kinda rare.
-
- Pain from immobility has to do a lot with pressure in inappropriate places
- ie across the thighs if sitting etc. In this case a reduced blood supply
- and or nerve impingment will generate pain after a while.
-
- The only thing that stretching will tend to do is start a complex cycle
- involving more heart activity, more osmotic pressure, and move
- the lymph along. Flexing tends to add directly to muscle cramping.
- Extending as a muscular activity is not a "normal" part of a stretch
- and has to be focussed on. (Actually Adduction is more normal stretching
- than abduction ..)
