  15. I'm a cooperative student majoring in Computer Science.  I go to VA Tech and
  16. work in Radford VA.  I've had to call lots of places around the US to get
  17. technical information and when the people read it to me, they seem to give
  18. me extra pauses since I'm from teh mountains and have a Southern Accent as well.
  19. I don't have a problem with my co-workers with it since most of them are from
  20. the area as well.  In school, some of my teachers are Southern, but hide
  21. their accent to an extent.  My sophomore year I had a lot of people from
  22. New Jersey, Pennslyvania (sp?) Connecticut, etc etc, and they always got a 
  23. charge out of my accent.  Especially the way I say "high school".
