  14. Alt.activism ranks surprisingly high in the newsgroup statistics -
  15. though to me it seems that most of the discussion has little to with
  16. activism but rather "alt.us.politics" as in alternative (meaning
  17. something like "non-demopublican") U.S. politics.

  19. In any case, it has many interesting articles in it.  In case you
  20. might be interested in other political topics and other newsgroups,
