  11. We need some help!
  12. Here at the University of Virginia, Student Environmental Action is
  13. starting a campaign to get a bill passed in the 1993 Virginia General
  14. Assembly session to force state agencies to procure non-chlorine bleached
  15. and high post-consumer waste content paper.  We hope to make this a 
  16. statewide student effort to shake things up here in the Old Dominion.

  18. What we need is information.
  19.  
  20. We need information on any other states which have proposed similar
  21. purchasing legislation, how the bills fared, who opposed them, who
  22. supported them, and the texts of the bills.
  23.  
  24. We also need easy to digest information about the hazards of chlorine
  25. bleaching and the state of the recycled paper market today--something
  26. soundbite-able enough to catch the attention of busy state legislators.
  27.  
  28. Any help will be acknowledged and TREMENDOUSLY appreciated.
