- I too am suspicious of these calls for "shared sacrifice." Historically,
- these calls for sacrifice have always meant sacrifice on the part of
- the naive, the trusting, the poor, and the powerless. It's like
- Leona Helmsly said "Only the little people pay taxes." If you continue
- to follow my series "Bankruptcy 1995" (which I hope you do), I point
- out that it is about time that the pendulum of "sacrifice" swung the
- other way; it is about time that there is a sacrifice of "Corporate
- Welfare," "Welfare for the rich," and Defense Department pork.
