- Well, its 5 to midnight, and I'm skiving off writing a lecture that I
- have to give tomorrow, but here's my \pounds0.02 (tuppence) worth.
-
- Time traveller is unbelievably naff. It's not holographic and only
- apparently 3D. Careful examination of the machine reveals a spherical
- mirror, and if you stick your head in to the space where the image
- appears and look downwards you find a perfectly ordinary monitor. The
- apparent 3D effect is purely an illusion. There can be no movement of
- the objects in the z-direction with respect to any of the other
- objects. In effect, the game is purely 2D.
-
- Once this is appreciated, the game turns into an extremely mediocre
- laserdisc game, and (IMHO) practically unplayable to boot. 50p a hot
- is a waste, and as for a buck, now worth something like 70p, forget
- it.
-
- Right, having blasted the game into oblivion, I might also add that I
- did play the game a few times before I worked out how it was done and
- how abysmal it actually was.
