  1. ** VERSIONS OF SUPERGRAM II **

  3. There are three versions of Supergram II: The Evaluation Version,
  4. the Standard Edition and the Professional Edition.
  5.  
  6. The Evaluation Version is what is what this file comes with. It is
  7. freely distributable, fully functional and is completely FREE. 
  8. The other two editions cost money so why should you bother buying 
  9. one of them?
  10.  
  11. There are lots of reasons:
  12.  
  13. - You receive that latest published edition of the software
  14. including any new features or bug fixes made since the evaluation
  15. software was written.
  16.  
  17. - As a registered owner of the software you become eligible to
  18. receive updates as new versions are written.
  19.  
  20. - The Standard Edition has a lexicon of 80 000 words. To keep the size of
  21. the Evaluation Version down its lexicon is only 40 000 words: only
  22. half the size.

  24. - You receive full professionally-printed documentation including an
  25. Owners' Manual and Examples section including many of the most
  26. hilarious anagrams found so far. This section is illustrated with
  27. cartoons and as a registered user you have the right to contribute
  28. to future editions of this publication.

  30. - The other editions comes with a utility !Features that can permanently
  31. remove or restore the Vulgar and/or Satire options making the software
  32. suitable for use by children in an educational context.

  34. - You have the right to unlimited written technical support. No
  35. technical support is available to users of the Evaluation Version.

  37. - The licence for the other editions allow you to use them forever. The
  38. Evaluation Version is for evaluation purposes only and there is a short
  39. time limit after which you are legally obliged to stop using it. The
  40. Standard and Professional Editions have licences similar to normal
  41. commercial software.

  47. *** PROFESSIONAL EDITION ***

  49. The Professional Edition is to cover the tiny niche market which seems
  50. to exist for Supergram including crossword compilers and serious word game
  51. enthusiasts.

  53. It is similar to the Standard Edition except that it comes with a massive
  54. 130 000 word lexicon! This compares with the 80 000 words in the Standard
  55. Edition and the 40 000 words in the Evaluation Version. This huge lexicon
  56. means that you need a machine with at least 2Mb of RAM to comfortably run
  57. the software.
