  1. Sound Blaster 16 Windows Drivers
  2. --------------------------------

  4. It is recommended that all Sound Blaster 16 owners use the latest
  5. version of the sound drivers when running Myst.  Below is a list of
  6. all the Sound Blaster 16 Windows drivers.  If the drivers currently
  7. installed in your copy of Windows is older than those listed here,
  8. please update them as outlined below.
  9.  
  10. Note: If you haven't yet installed the Sound Blaster 16 software that
  11. is included with the card, you must install it before continuing with
  12. the instructions below.

  14. Copy the following files into your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory:

  16.     SB16SND  DRV        32,048 02-04-94   3:00a
  17.     SB16AUX  DRV        32,624 02-04-94   2:00a
  18.     CSPMAN   DLL        18,256 02-01-94   3:00a
  19.     WFM0006  ACV        12,032 01-19-94   3:00a
  20.     WFM0007  ACV        18,112 01-19-94   3:00a
  21.     WFM0200  ACV        11,408 01-19-94   3:00a

  23. Copy the following files to your \SB16\WINAPPL\ directory:

  25.     CTCONFIG EXE        29,520 01-27-94   1:00a
  26.     CTCONFIG HLP        35,362 01-17-94   1:00a
  27.     README   TXT         1,663 02-04-94  11:09a

  29. Now add the configuration utility to the Sound Blaster 16 group in
  30. Windows.

  32.     1) Run Windows
  33.  
  34.     2) Open the Sound Blaster 16 program group by double clicking on
  35.        its icon.
  36.  
  37.     3) Select New from the File pull-down menu in Program Manager.
  38.  
  39.     4) Select Item and click OK.

  41.     5) In the Command Line dialog box enter
  42.  
  43.             C:\SB16\WINAPPL\CTCONFIG.EXE
  44.  
  45.        If you installed the Sound Blaster 16 software onto a drive
  46.        other than C:, enter it in place of the C: in the example
  47.        above.  For example, if the Sound Blaster 16 software was
  48.        installed to drive D: enter D:\SB16\WINAPPL\CTCONFIG.EXE.

  50.     6) Click OK.

  52. You now have a new icon for the CTCONFIG utility in the Sound Blaster
  53. 16 program group.  To use it, double click on the icon with the left
  54. mouse button.
