  1. Keyboard MIDI Player for Windows

  4. This is a small utility which allows you to play your MIDI keyboard,
  5. and use an internal MIDI device as output. The point of the program
  6. (compared to using other similar utilities) is that it can convert
  7. the velocity of notes from a linear to an exponential scale (who
  8. guessed I have a GUS :-), or vice versa (sort of like Phat Tran's
  9. VMAP, but in real time). This allows you to get the right "feel"
  10. when controlling your GUS with a MIDI keyboard.

  12. My program is suspiciosly similar to Charles Pethold's KB MIDI (hey,
  13. sue me), but that is only because it does almost the same thing. I can
  14. assure you that every line of code is my own (my program is written in
  15. Borland Pascal, using ObjectWindows, so there is not much to copy
  16. anyway).

  18. This is a complete and total hack, so I do not guarantee that it will
  19. work on your computer. Neither do I take any responsibilty for anything
  20. that may happen to your equipment as a result of using it. So if your
  21. computer hangs, burns up, jumps out the window, or does anything else
  22. out of the ordinary, that's your own problem.
