  1. FLAG jumps
  2.  
  3.         One of the more interesting hypertext features of Hyplus is the
  4.         flag setting jump such as ............. <flag: a=1>.
  5.  
  6.         When such a jump is selected, the program opens the file FLAG.TXT,
  7.         adds the text "A=1" to the end of the file, then closes the file.
  8.  
  9.         For example, try each of these jumps in order:
  10.  
  11.                 Add text to flag file ......... <flag: MaxThink>
  12.                 Add numeric values ............ <flag: b=3>
  13.                 Display the files ............. <flag.txt>
  14.                 Erase the flag.txt file ....... <dos del flag.txt>
  15.  
  16.         This jump transfers choices made in a hypertext system such as a
  17.         multiple choice test to a file read by other programs ... or
  18.  
  19.         Form-fill hypertext
  20.                 From a catalog of thousands of forms, you could create a
  21.                 system that rapidly flags selections.  Then using a DOS call
  22.                 jump, a program reading the FLAT.TXT file could automatically
  23.                 complete and print each desired form.
