  4.         Experienced hypertext developers can create excellent hypertext
  5.         systems using any number of software packages.  However, the time
  6.         to accomplish this can vary by factors of 100 to 1.  For example:

  8. ASCII files, production speed

  11.         I know of hypertext developers that use our HyperRez utilities to
  12.         daily convert 100 pages of text into more than 200 ASCII files that
  13.         contain perhaps 400 unique cross-links.  <link10 1 4>

  15. And...graphic hypertext, built by competitors -- Woops!

  18.         Trade literature reports typical averages of less than one file per
  19.         hour with hypertext systems that depend on graphic files such as
  20.         HyperCard or Guide.  Not all pictures are worth a 1000 words!

  22.         For developers, construction speed is most important; for users,
