  45.         The V7-VEGA PRO graphics card is a product that offers significantly
  46.         enhanced features compared to other standard VGA graphic and
  47.         accelerator boards.
  48.  
  49.         This particularly applies to
  50.         - higher resolutions    and
  51.         - higher refresh rates.
  52.  
  53.         Please be aware that you can only take full advantage of the
  54.         features provided by the V7-VEGA PRO, if the other components of
  55.         your system, especially the graphic monitor that is being used,
  56.         also comply with the specifications of the V7-VEGA PRO.

  58.         (Example : The resolution 1280x1024 that is supported by the
  59.         V7-VEGA PRO can obviously not be used with a monitor that is speci-
  60.         fied to only support resolutions up to 1024x768.)

  68.         please insert disk "Drivers for Windows" and enter:

  77.         As already mentioned above, the graphics monitor used with the
  78.         V7-VEGA PRO must comply to the specifications of the V7-VEGA PRO.
  79.         Only then can the full functionality of the V7-VEGA PRO
  80.         be used.

  82.         A detailed description of available video modes can be found in
  83.         the file BIOS.TXT in the SPEA directory.

  86.         The setting of the refresh rates is for the most drivers done by
  87.         the program SMONITOR. For Windows please use the program V7SETUP to
  88.         set resolution and refresh rate.

  94.         Please only select parameters that your monitor is specified for.
  95.         Your monitor may be seriously damaged, if it is constantly driven
  96.         with parameters which are not within the range of its specification.
  97.         If you change your monitor you have to compare the specification
  98.         and, if necessary, to change the resolutions / refresh rates using
  99.         SMONITOR !

  105.     (1) It is not possible to use two or more active VGA boards in one PC at
  106.         the same time.
  107.         In case you want to use the V7-VEGA PRO board in a PC that has a
  108.         VGA interface integrated on the motherboard, then this integrated
  109.         VGA interface must be disabled before the V7-VEGA PRO may be used.

  111.     (2) Some applications such as Windows 3.1, and others offer
  112.  
  113.                          "Video 7 ..." display interfaces
  114.  
  115.         in their configuration programs.
  116.  
  117.         These options should NOT be selected when using the V7-VEGA PRO.
  118.  
  119.         Please follow the instructions given in the user's manual to
  120.         guarantee that the optimum configuration for the V7-VEGA PRO is
  121.         being installed.

  128.         1) There are some jumpers on your V7-VEGA PRO which are set by
  129.         the manufacturer and need not to be changed.
  130.         One exception is Jumper 3 on the VL Version of the V7-VEGA PRO.
  131.         This jumper provides to adjust the graphics board to the bus
  132.         frequency of your system. If your system runs with a clock rate
  133.         of 33 Mhz or less this jumper has to be removed. If the clock rate
  134.         is higher than 33 MHz, the jumper remains as it is.

  137.         2) If the program SMONITOR is started without parameter, you will
  138.         get an online help with a table for selecting the refresh rates,
  139.         Some of the displayed frequencies exceed the possibilities of the
  140.         V7-VEGA PRO. E.g. if you select a monitor with a frequency of 90 Hz,
  141.         the actual frequency will be 75 Hz. A list of all avilable video
  142.         modes can be found in the file BIOS.TXT in the SPEA diretory
  143.         (\SPEA\VEGAPRO\BIOS.TXT).
