- VGASOL is a pyramid solitaire game. It requires VGA and a mouse.
-
- It's a Shareware program that I'm asking $5 for, if
- you like it enough to play more than a few times.

- I've put into this game.
-
- HOW TO PLAY VGASOL
- ------------------
- When you run it, you'll see 28 cards, face up, in the
- shape of a pyramid, and the rest of the 52 cards in a
- deck at the top right of the screen.
-
- A mouse cursor arrow is at the top of the pyramid of
- cards.
-
- A "button" area is at the top left of the screen. To
- exit, or to play another game, or to get some minimal
- help, move the cursor arrow to this "button" area and
- press a mouse key. A menu will appear below it. Move
- the mouse cursor to your choice and press a mouse key
- to select it.
-
- The object of the game is to remove all the cards by
- removing them in pairs of cards whose value add up to 13.
-
- Cards count face value, except:
- Ace = 1
- Jack = 11
- Queen = 12
- King = 13
-
- The King counts as a pair and is removed by itself.
-
- Choose the pair of cards to be removed from cards that
- aren't covered by other cards. Move the mouse cursor
- to the first card to be removed and press a mouse
- button. That card will turn darker. Then move the
- mouse cursor to the second card and press a mouse
- button. If both cards add up to 13, they'll disappear.
-
- You can take cards from the deck by moving the mouse
- cursor to it and pressing a mouse button. You can
- start over with the deck (after you've taken all the
- cards from it) by moving the mouse cursor to the space
- where the deck was, and pressing a mouse button.
-
- The odds of winning are about 1 in 5, from my experience;
- you win more often if you plan ahead.
-
- Version 2 just fixes a few things, and adds a display of 10
- decks of cards thrown on the screen if you win.
-
- Enjoy.
