- THE TOWERS OF KUBLAI KHAN by Daniel P. McDermott
-
- In the year 1215 was born Kublai Khan,
- grandson of the first Great Khan - Genghis,
- conquerer of much of the world.
-
- Kublai Khan ascended the throne of the
- Mongols in 1620. Much of Asia was under his
- control.
-
- Kublai Khan's lavish court in Beijing was
- visited by many Europeans, including the
- traveler, Marco Polo.
-
- Kublai Khan spent much of his time playing a
- game with three towers and blocks. While the
- game seemed simple, it took skill to complete
- the puzzle quickly.
-
- Today, the rule of the Mongols is forever gone.
-
- All that remains is the game.
- ------
-
-
- Instructions:
-
- The object of the game is to move all of the blocks from the first
- tower to the third.
-
- Move the blocks, one at a time, using a mouse or the numbers 1, 2,
- and 3 on your keyboard.
-
- The catch: You can't put a block on top of a smaller block!
-
- The game may seem tricky at first, but you'll soon get the hang
- of it.
-
- If you get frustrated, remember:
-
- ... the Mongols weren't conquered in a day!
