  7. 4 Play is a Windows version of the classic Connect 4 (TM) game.
  8. See on line help for details of how to play.

  10. Installation instructions.

  13. You should have the following files:
  14.  
  15.     4PLAY.EXE       (The windows executable)
  16.     4PLAY.HLP       (The windows help file)
  17.     README.TXT      (This file)
  18.     REGFORM.TXT     (The registration form)
  19.     BWCC.DLL        (The Borland Custom Control Library, used by 4PLAY)

  21. 1) Copy BWCC.DLL to your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
  22.  
  23. Note. the above step is unnecessary if you already have a more recent copy
  24. of BWCC.DLL in your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory, check first.

  26. 2) Copy all other files to a directory on your hard disk.
  27. eg. \GAMES\WINGAMES\4PLAY
  28.  
  29. 3) Run 4PLAY.EXE in the usual way.

  38. This means that you are free to distribute only unaltered and complete copies 
  39. of the program (i.e. ALL files MUST be included with any distribution of 
  40. 4 Play).

  42. You may use 4 Play free for up to 30 days. If you want to keep it
  43. after 30 days you must register your copy. The easiest way to do this is by 
  44. printing out and filling in the Registration Form (see file REGFORM.TXT) and 
  45. sending it with a cheque for 5.00 pounds (or equivalent in your local
  46. currency) to the address below.

  48. NOTE. This copy of 4 PLAY is full and complete, unlike a lot of shareware
  49. that is distributed with certain features disabled and/or annoying shareware 
  50. reminder screens. I have decided to distribute a 'clean' version because I
  51. know how annoying reminder screens are. However this does mean that there is 
  52. little incentive to register, as you will not receive anything if you do so. 
  53. I am (foolishly) relying on peoples consciences!

  55. Please try to make the effort to register. Doing so will encourage me improve 
  56. 4 Play and to produce more quality Windows products (suggestions welcome!).
