  3. There are 5 parameters to the information you receive from Envoy 100 every
  4. time you sign on.  You can use the SIGNON (SIG) field to make a selection
  5. upon each of these parameters:
  6.  
  7. 1.  Whether or not to receive the banner `WELCOME TO ENVOY 100!  YOUR
  8.     LAST ACCESS WAS....'
  9. 2.  Whether or not to receive the notice to check monitored bulletin
  10.     boards.
  11. 3.  Whether of not to receive an automatic SCAN <C029>of new messages
  12.     delivered to your mailbox; and if so, whether you wish to have a long
  13.     SCAN (full SCAN TABLE of information) or SHORT SCAN (A one-line summary
  14.     of new messages).
  15. 4.  Whether of not to have specific Envoy 100 Commands executed for you
  16.     as part of the signon process.  For example, you might wish to
  17.     CHECK a particular BULLETIN BOARD at every session, or receive an
  18.     immediate printout (READ!) of your new messages.
  19. 5.  If you answer no to questions 1-4 above, the only thing you will see
  20.     at signon is a Command? prompt.
  21.  
  22. Note that when you use the SET Command to ALTER your signon procedure,
  23. the new parameters will not be in effect until your next Envoy 100
  24. session.
