  3. EnvoyMHS is the x.400 feature of Envoy 100. MHS refers to the Message
  4. Handling System of X.400 series of recommendations put forth by the
  5. Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee (CCITT).

  7. These standards address the interconnection of public (e.g. Envoy 100) and
  8. private (e.g. Digital's ALL-IN-1) Computer-Based Messaging Systems (CBMS),
  9. which permits CBMS users to communicate with other messaging system users
  10. regardless of the system of equipment they use.

  12. The COMPOSE MHS is available to any interactive user except for NIO users.
  13.  
  14. The script prompts the user for the necessary address and delivery
  15. instructions, as well as the subject and text information. The message is
  16. then transparently converted into a transmittable format and sent.
