  3. The SCAN Command produces a chronological table of information about UNREAD
  4. messages residing in your mailbox.  SCAN can also be used in conjunction
  5. with one or more options to display information about specific Messages and
  6. SAVED workspaces.
  7.  
  8. Command? SCAN         Displays a chronological table of messages.
  9.                       Every time the SCAN command is used in a session,
  10.                       the scan number gets incremented.
  11.  
  12. Command? SCAN!        Displays a table of all the messages currently in
  13.                       your mailbox without the More...prompt every 20 
  14.                       lines.
  15.  
  16. Command? SCAN ALL     Displays a table of all the messages in your mailbox
  17.                       including unread, read, unfiled and filed messages.
  18.  
  19. Command? SCAN BEFORE Aug 12 
  20.                       Displays a table of all messages you received 
  21.                       before the specified date.
  22.  
  23. Command? SCAN reports Displays a table of all messages you filed under
  24.                       a specified filename.

  26. Command? SCAN FROM M.WHITE
  27.                       Displays a table of all messages you received on a
  28.                       specified date.

  30. Command? SCAN SINCE Sept 1
  31.                       Displays a table of all messages you received on
  32.                       and after the date specified.

  34. Command? SCAN SUBJECT 'vacation'
  35.                       Displays a table of all messages you received with
  36.                       a specified 'string' in the Subject field.

  38. Command? SCAN UNFILED Displays a table of all messages you have not filed.
  39.  
  40. Command? SCAN SAVED   Displays an abbreviated scan table of your saved
  41.                       message names in alphabetical order.

  43. Command? SCAN PURGED  Displays all the messages you have purged within
  44.                       the last 24 hours.

  46. Command? SCAN SAVED FILE [contracts]
  47.                       Displays a table of all your saved messages filed
  48.                       under the specified [filename].

  50. Command? SCAN MSG ABCD-1234-2024
  51.                       Displays a scan table consisting of a single line 
  52.                       indicating the message prsently in your mailbox.

  54. Command? SCAN (SUMMARY)
  55.                       Advises you of the number of unread messages in 
  56.                       your mailbox, e.g. You have 3 messages.

  58. Command? SCAN BEFORE Sept 1 FROM M.WHITE
  59.                       You can combine the options of a scan command to
  60.                       be more specific in searching for certain types of
  61.                       messages.
