  3. In response to the ACTION? prompt, the PURGE command causes the message
  4. just viewed to be removed from your mailbox. Once you have purged a
  5. message, you can restore it to your mailbox within 24 hours using the
  6. UNPURGE <C034> command.  The SCAN PURGED command will display your messages
  7. that have been purged but not yet deleted from the system.

  9. Saved workspaces can also be purged.  The SCAN PURGED command will
  10. display your PURGED SAVED workspaces.

  12. In response to the COMMAND? prompt, PURGE can be used with options;
  13. for example,
  14.  
  15.      PURGE [SCAN NO.'S]       PURGE FROM [USER NAME]
  16.      PURGE SUBJECT 'STRING'   PURGE FILE [FILENAME]
  17.      PURGE BEFORE [DATE]      PURGE SAVED [MSGNAME]
  18.      PURGE SINCE [DATE]       PURGE ON [DATE]
  19.      PURGE UNFILED

  21. PURGE erases the message from your mailbox no matter how many files
  22. it might be associated with.  But if you attempt to erase a message
  23. that has been filed, ENVOY 100 will ask for verification:

  25.      THIS MESSAGE WILL BE PURGED FROM 2 FILES.
  26.      DO YOU STILL WISH TO PURGE IT?
  27.
