- Purge
-
- In response to the ACTION? prompt, the PURGE command causes the message
- just viewed to be removed from your mailbox. Once you have purged a
- message, you can restore it to your mailbox within 24 hours using the
- UNPURGE <C034> command. The SCAN PURGED command will display your messages
- that have been purged but not yet deleted from the system.
-
- Saved workspaces can also be purged. The SCAN PURGED command will
- display your PURGED SAVED workspaces.
-
- In response to the COMMAND? prompt, PURGE can be used with options;
- for example,
-
- PURGE [SCAN NO.'S] PURGE FROM [USER NAME]
- PURGE SUBJECT 'STRING' PURGE FILE [FILENAME]
- PURGE BEFORE [DATE] PURGE SAVED [MSGNAME]
- PURGE SINCE [DATE] PURGE ON [DATE]
- PURGE UNFILED
-
- PURGE erases the message from your mailbox no matter how many files
- it might be associated with. But if you attempt to erase a message
- that has been filed, ENVOY 100 will ask for verification:
-
- THIS MESSAGE WILL BE PURGED FROM 2 FILES.
- DO YOU STILL WISH TO PURGE IT?
