  3. Insert is the editing Command that enables you to place new lines of
  4. text or characters into your workspace.

  6. It also allows you to INSERT BINARY files. See <I001> for details.

  9. Command? INSERT     If a line number is not specified, all new text
  10.                     will be placed at the end of the existing text.
  11.  
  12. Command? INSERT 61  To insert a line between two existing lines.
  13.                     Envoy 100 will print the line number you specify
  14.                     and wait for you to input text. It will keep giving
  15.                     you line numbers until you type a period(.) and
  16.                     RETURN or you run out of line numbers.

  19.                     To insert a specified line number with a specified
  20.                     increment.

  22. Inserting Characters

  29. The plus sign (+) is used as the insertion symbol. The character(s) to
  30. be inserted must be enclosed between + signs. The first + sign must be
  31. placed under the character in front of which the insertion is to be 
  32. placed.

  38. The greater sign (>) inserts a space before the character immediately
  39. above it. One or more can be used at one time.

  47. replacement character directly underneath the character to be changed.
