  14. *IMPORTANT*
  15.  
  16. When upgrading from version 1.1 or earlier to v1.2 it is very 
  17. important to follow these installation instructions in order not
  18. to loose any data:
  19.  
  20. - Do a HotSync to back up your Stock Manager database
  21. - On your Palm, delete the Stock Manager application
  22. - On your PC, launch the Palm Install Tool from: Start > Programs > Palm Desktop
  23. - Click on "Add"
  24. - Go to the directory where you unziped the StockManager.zip (downloaded from
  25. PalmStocks.net) and select StockManager.prc
  26. - Click on "Add" again
  27. - Go to the directory where you installed the Palm Desktop software. For example:
  28. C:\Program Files\Palm Desktop", go to a subdirectory that is like your HotSync
  29. name, for example "DoeJ", go to a subdirectory called "Backup" and select the
  30. files StockMgrDB.pdb and StockNoteDB.PDB

  34. Now comes with a handy desktop tool called Stock Manager Desktop Watch that 
  35. allows you to check the latest stock rates right on your desktop without 
  36. HotSync'ing and without launching your browser!
