- You can use "Write to File" and "View File" buttons to
- read/write Query Application operations results. Click
- on the "Clear File" button to erase this file. You can
- open this file with Notepad by clicking on the "Query
- App" Label.

- Timesrv.Txt
- ===========
- You can add/remove any Time server by editing this file
- (The first name in the list is the default one) Pick
- *set timeout* from the drop down servers list to set
- the time to wait for data. You can open this file with
- Notepad by clicking on the "Time Servers" Label.

- The Whois Servers Dialog Box
- ============================
- If you mark the "Do not show this window next time"
- check box, you can open Whois Dialog Box by typing
- "set whois server" as the Host Name, and then clicking
- the Whois button.

- DNS Servers
- ===========
- When you open Query Application DNS Lookup dialog box,
- you should see your computer name servers. If you don't
- see any server, click the IpCfg button to open Windows
- IP configuration utility, it might find and display them.
- in DNS server edit box type the server you want to use.
- (On WinNT/2000 run Ipconfig.exe to get the DNS Servers)

- Port Scan
- =========
- Mark the Setting check box (it should be marked for the
- first time) and click the Scan Port button to open the
- settings dialog box. The Time Out setting is really
- important, if you enter very low timeout you might get
- wrong results.

- Time Outs
- =========
- All the timeouts settings are in Milliseconds, except the
- Time Servers timeout which is in Seconds.

- Sounds
- ======
- Plays two types of sounds. One when any query operation
- completed, and another for the Ping and Trace results.

- Hosts File
- ==========
- You can add or delete hosts from your local Hosts file.
- Please make a backup copy of your Hosts file before using
- this feature, just in case.

- Ringrun.bat
- ===========
- You can create batch file that will run when you receive a
- phone call. Just name this file Ringrun.bat, and put it in
- Query Application folder. Ringrun.bat will auto run when:
- - Query Application Ring Indicator window is open.
- - Your phone line is connected to your modem.
- - You receive a phone call.

- =====
- Not working on Windows NT/2000 because WinIpCfg.exe file
- supply only with Windows 95/98/ME. On Windows NT/2000 you
- can use the command line utility Ipconfig.exe instead.
