  1. Thank you for downloading this 30-day evaluation of KatieSoft Scroll
  2. and KatieSoft Scroll for Netscape.

  4. KatieSoft Scroll requires Windows 98 or Windows 95/NT 4.0 with
  5. Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. KatieSoft Scroll for Netscape
  6. requires Windows 95/NT 4.0 and Netscape Navigator 4.0 or higher.

  8. In order to process Internet Favorites, KatieSoft Scroll requires the
  9. Windows Desktop Update. (The Active Desktop need not be enabled,
  10. however.) To install the Desktop Update, open an Internet Explorer
  11. window and choose Product Updates from the Help menu. You will be
  12. taken to a page at Microsoft's site that will allow you to install the
  13. Desktop Update.

  15. Known issues with this release of KatieSoft Scroll:

  17. On machines running Windows NT 4.0, KatieSoft Scroll will not change
  18. the mouse pointer to a crosshair when you select a Favorite or invoke
  19. the Open Local File command. The crosshair will also fail to appear
  20. when KatieSoft Scroll is the default browser and you double-click an
  21. HTML document or click a hyperlink in another application. This is due
  22. to a bug in NT that has been confirmed by Microsoft. We are working on
  23. resolving this issue.

  25. On a small number of older machines, KatieSoft Scroll for Netscape may
  26. fail to properly load the first time you attempt to open it. You will
  27. see a dialog box instructing you to close non-responding applications.
  28. After you do so, try to open the program again; in most instances, it
  29. will start properly. We are working on resolving this issue. Please
  30. note that this issue only affects the Netscape version of our product.

  32. When KatieSoft Scroll for Netscape is used with version 4.05 of
  33. Navigator, the "Hide Netscape's Location Toolbars and Status Bars"
  34. option also removes many commands from Navigator's menus. We are
  35. working on resolving this issue. Please note that this issue only
  36. affects the Netscape version of our product.

  39. they become available.
