  4. READ THIS FILE COMPLETELY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO USE THIS PRODUCT !

  6. You must run QUICK SETUP from the Main Menu and select an appropriate
  7. monitor type, prior to installing the Windows Display Driver.
  8.  
  9. IMPORTANT: This driver will function with Windows 3.1, and Windows
  10.            for WorkGroups 3.1 or 3.11, only if run in enhanced mode.

  20. 1) From the Install Enhanced Drivers menu select Microsoft Windows.
  21.  
  22. 2) To complete the install successfully, you will require the following
  23.    information:
  24.     
  25.     a) The full path name for the Windows directory.
  26.  
  27. 3) Select Install Windows 3.1 driver:
  28.  
  29.     a) Select Display Drivers only
  30.         - if you have NOT installed Windows based multimedia applications
  31.          (e.g. Multimedia CD-ROMS, Video editing packages)
  32.  
  33.     b) Select Display Drivers + MVA drivers
  34.        - if you have installed Windows based multimedia applications
  35.          (e.g. Multimedia CD-ROMS, Video editing packages)
  36.  
  37. 4) When INSTALL reports that the driver has been successfully installed, 
  38.    exit the program.
  39.  
  40. 5) Start Windows and go to the ATI Desktop Group and double click on the 
  41.    icon to start.

  43. 6) Open the FlexDesk+ icon and configure Windows for the desired resolution 
  44.    and color depth.
  45.  
  46. For further information regarding the mach64 Windows functions please use
  47. MS Write to read the MACH64.WRI file.  This Write file is located in the 
  48. mach64\ATIDESK subdirectory (default), if the display driver has been 
  49. previously installed.  New installations will find MACH64.WRI located in
  50. the ATI\ATIDESK subdirectory (default).

  52. 2.0     Uninstalling the Windows 3.1/3.11
  53.  
  54. 1) From the Install Enhanced Drivers windows select Uninstall Microsoft 
  55.    Windows.

  57. 2) To complete the uninstall successfully, you will require the following
  58.    information:

  60.     a) The full path name for the Windows directory.
  61.  
  62. 3) Select Uninstall Windows 3.1 driver.
  63.  
  64. 4) When the uninstall is completed, exit to DOS. 
  65.  
  66. 5) Change directory to the Windows directory and run SETUP.

  68. 6) Select VGA (640x480 16) or SVGA (800x600, 16) for your display.
