  10. Earth 2140 requires the following minimum system configuration:

  12.   - Pentium 100 
  13.   - 16 megabytes RAM
  14.   - Mouse
  15.   - 36 megabytes free hard disk space (48 megs free hard disk
  16.     space for demo with intro movie).
  17.   - Supports VGA and SVGA video cards. 
  18.   - Sound Blaster compatible sound card.
  19.   - DOS 6.22 or Windows 95

  27. YOU MUST HAVE PKUNZIP INSTALLED TO INSTALL EARTH 2140!!

  30. FOR DOS    
  31.     1. Make a new directory on your hard-drive called "2140DEMO"
  32.            (MD C:\2140DEMO)
  33.     2. Copy the EARTH.ZIP file you downloaded into that directory.
  34.        (COPY EARTH.ZIP C:\2140DEMO)
  35.     3. Change into the 2140DEMO directory.
  36.         (CD C:\2140DEMO)
  37.     4. Unzip the EARTH.ZIP file with the -d option. 
  38.        (PKUNZIP -d EARTH.ZIP)

  42.     1. Make a new folder called Earth2140 Demo.
  43.     2. Right-click on the "EARTH.ZIP" file and drag it into the new folder.
  44.     3. Release the right mouse button and choose "Extract to folderxxxxxxxx"

  48. GAME CONTROLS
  49. =============
  50.  
  51.   
  52.     Mouse:  Left Button-  This button is primarily used to select a 
  53.                               soldier/vehicle or group of soldiers/ vehicles by clicking 
  54.                               and dragging over them, and attacking the enemy with 
  55.                       selected objects. To attack, move the cursor over an enemy
  56.                        object. The cursor will change from green to red crosshairs. 
  57.                       Click on the enemy and all of your selected soldiers/vehicles
  58.                       will attack.This button is also used to initiate building of 
  59.                       bases, mines, research centers, ect.     
  60.      
  61.         Right Button- This button is used to deselect selected soldiers/vehicles, 
  62.                               and to call up a status/command menu. To call up the menu,
  63.                       click on a soldier/vehicle.

  71.         Ctrl+1,2,3 or 4 -     You can create groups of soldiers/vehicles by pressing the Control
  72.         Ctrl+5,6,7 or 8    -     key and any number between 1 and 8. To select one of these units after
  73.                        you have created it, simply press the corresponding number. Example- group 
  74.                   three is a regiment of tanks. You already selected them all and pressed Ctrl+3 
  75.                   to group them, so now to select them, just press the 3 key. You can have up
  76.                   to eight different groups total.

  137.         If within the first ninety days of purchase you have any problems with 
  138.         the product please return it to the retailer.

  141.         Interplay Productions, provided the fault is not due to normal wear 
  142.         and tear and Interplay will mail a replacement to you.

  168. is permitted by law. Interplay Productions [and Topware] retain[s] all rights and title in the Software including all intellectual
  169. property rights embodied therein and derivatives thereof. You are granted a revocable, nonassignable limited license to
  170. create derivative works of this Software solely for your own personal noncommercial home entertainment use and may
  171. publicly display such derivative works to the extent specifically authorized by Interplay in writing. A copy of this
  172. authorization, if any, will be provided on Interplay's World Wide Web site, located at http://www.interplay.com, or by
  173. contacting the legal department Interplay Productions in the US at +(714) 553-6655. The Software, including, without
  174. limitation, all code, data structures, characters, images, sounds, text, screens, game play, derivative works and all other

  188. Software, manages, organizes, or facilitates game play, translates protocols, or otherwise provides a service which
  189. commercially exploits the Software, but does not include a third party service which merely provides a telephonic
  190. connection (and nothing more) for modem or network play. Authorized licensee services are listed on the Interplay
  191. Productions World Wide Web Site located at http://www.interplay.com. This limited right to transmit the Software
  192. expressly excludes any transmission of the Software or any data streams thereof on a commercial basis, including,
  193. without limitation, transmitting the Software by way of a commercial service (excepting those specific commercial
  194. services licensed by Interplay) which translates the protocols or manages or organizes game play sessions. If you would
