- ================================================================================
-
- New features in 3.0x:
- * Monitor clicks in your web browser to automatically start GetRight by just
- clicking the links as usual. (Netscape only.)
- * In addition to scheduling a time to start downloading, you can now schedule
- a time to stop downloading and hang up the phone (such as in the morning
- when phone rates increase.)
- * You may now set a "Speed Limit" to have GetRight only download up to a set
- amount per second--to let you continue browsing the web at a faster speed.
- * You may now setup different default directories where files should be saved
- depending on the file type.
- For example: save .WAV files to C:\SOUNDS and .EXE files to C:\INSTALL
- * And many more fixes and enhancements...

- Using GetRight to Start Downloads:
- Netscape Users:
- GetRight will catch clicks within your web browser to automatically
- start downloading with GetRight. Using GetRight this way is as easy as
- using your web browser.
- Any Web Browser (or any other program):
- GetRight monitors the contents of the clipboard to see if a web link (URL)
- is copied into the clipboard.
- When a web link (of the correct file type) is copied to the clipboard,
- GetRight starts up to get the file.
-
- DETAILS:
- * Find a file you wish to get in your web browser. Click with the RIGHT mouse
- button on the link (often blue, underlined text) to get a menu of choices.
- * Using Netscape: pick "Copy link location" from the menu.
- * Using Microsoft (95/NT): pick "Copy shortcut" from the menu.
- * Using Microsoft (3.1): pick "Properties" from the menu, then select the
- text in the URL box in the window that appears and press Ctrl-C to copy it
- to the clipboard.
- * Or from ANY program--email, word processor, a different web browser, or
- anything else where you may see a URL--select the link text (looks like
- http://xxx.xxx.xxx/file.name or ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx/file.name) and press
- Ctrl-C to copy the text to the clipboard.
-
- * For the common download types (such as .EXE .ZIP, etc.), GetRight will
- automatically startup to download the file as soon as the text is copied.
-
- * For most other types, GetRight will ask you whether it should download the
- file or not.
-
- (See the online help for more information, options, and other methods to start
- downloading using GetRight.)
