  1. The sound on this demo is designed to be used with Sound Blaster
  2. and compatible sound cards only.
  3.  
  4. If you have a Sound Blaster or Compatible, type START at the DOS
  5. prompt to run the demo.
  6.  
  7. If  you DO NOT have a Sound Blaster or Compatible, or do not have
  8. a sound card at all.  Type WELCOME at the DOS prompt.  You can then
  9. see the demo but will not hear the sounds.

  11. PROBLEMS:

  14. If you use START to run the demo and your system "hangs up" or acts
  15. strangly, reboot the computer and run it again, using START.  It
  16. is strongly recommended that you run this demo from a freshly booted
  17. system, meaning that you boot up the computer and not run anything
  18. else before you run the demo.  You may load in your TSRs and drivers
  19. in your AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files as you normally do, but
  20. it's best not to run any other programs before you run this demo, if
  21. using START to run it.  This does not apply if you are using WELCOME
  22. (for no-sound option).
