  8. A functional demonstration version of BankExpert
  9. v2.2, a personal finance management program, is
  10. available for downloading in file #1948 WBANK22.ZIP
  11. from the Windows RoundTable Software Library.
  12. BankExpert helps you keep a record of all
  13. transactions, facilitates balancing your account
  14. versus the bank's statement, prints checks on any
  15. standard form including the standard checks
  16. supplied by your bank, and can maintain up to ten
  17. separate accounts. You can also set up budget and
  18. expense categories which can be used to establish a
  19. review of your income and expenditures over any
  20. selected time period.

  22. For a more frivolous approach to taxes and
  23. finances, download File #1930 BILLTAX.ZIP, a
  24. Windows 3.1 screen saver module depicting President
  25. Bill Clinton on a bulldozer, complete with sound
  26. effects (sound card or PC speaker driver required
  27. for audio). Other worthwhile downloads include
  28. Spelling Sentry (file #1969 SPELLSEN.ZIP), a spell
  29. checker for Windows Write, ASCII text and Windows
  30. Clipboard files, and Finder v4.0 (#1950
  31. FINDR400.ZIP), which adds a handy task-switching
  32. icon and time display to the title b ar of any

  38. OS/2 owners can turn to file #1957 TAXDPL.ZIP, an
  39. income tax preparation and planning program that
  40. runs under OS/2's Presentation Manager. A non-tax
  41. or finance-related program that should excite OS/2
  42. users is Boxer v6.0, one of the best text editors
  43. around. It lives up to the promise of Boxer for
  44. DOS, a consistently popular program and a Shareware
  45. Magazine Editor's Choice. It features a carefully
  46. designed and highly configurable interface
  47. invaluable to programmers, writers, and everyone
  48. who needs a quality text editor.

  50. Zap-O-Com (file #2068 ZOC102B.ZIP) is a
  51. communications program for OS/2, featuring VT100
  52. and ANSI terminal emulations and built-in Zmodem, a
  53. fast scroll back buffer, phone book, external
  54. online GIF viewer and many other options. When
  55. you're ready for a break, try Seahaven (#2093
  56. SEAHAVEN.ZIP), an interesting new Solitaire card
  57. game with outstanding graphics. All these great

  63. Notepad v1.8 is an application for entering,
  64. organizing, and viewing free-format and
  65. semi-structured information on the Hewlett Packard
  66. HP95LX palmtop computer. It has the look and feel
  67. of the built-in applications and uses some of the

  72. Toshiba laptop owners will want to check out file
  73. #4910 TSEP62.EXE, Toshiba's Special Enhancements
  74. Package for MS-DOS 6.2. This initial release
  75. supports the following models, with more to be
  76. added in an unreleased update: T1900 series, T1950
  77. series, T3400 series, T4500 series, T4600 series,
  78. T4700 series, and T6600C series. The Laptops

  85. the place to find the latest product information
  86. and support for Gateway 2000, Boca Research,
  87. Kaseworks, Supra, and GVC products. You'll find
  88. driver upgrades and price lists from these vendors
  89. in the Software Library. These files are updated
  90. frequently and, with more vendors on the horizon
  91. providing support, visiting the IBM Product Support
  92. RoundTable is a great way to keep your system
  93. up-to-date.
