  1. Caught up in the magic of the 1994 Olympic Winter Games televised from
  2. Lillehammer, I was reminded recently that truly world class citizens do
  3. more than excel at their specialities. Many excel at helping people all
  4. over the world, notably Norway's incredible speed skater Johann Olav Koss,
  5. whose generosity has brought joy and accomplishment to thousands of kids
  6. with shattered lives.

  8. That brought to mind Joanna Strohn's story in this issue ("Moving Right
  9. Along") about our very own Larry Ledlow, chief sysop of GEnie's Radio
  10. RoundTable, who is right now not only giving freely of his time and
  11. expertise, but risking his very life in Croatia, the former Yugoslavia, on
  12. a volunteer mission for the United Nations.

  52. countries that made up the USSR is by downloading Radio Free Europe/Radio
  53. Liberty reports from Public Forum's Library 19. Small in size but big in
  54. importance, these daily reports follow a naming convention that makes them
  55. quick and easy to find: RFMMDDYY.ZIP, with MMDDYY standing for the month,
  56. day, and year, as in file #4722 RF021894.ZIP.

  59. We've Got Winners!

  61. Joseph Gallagher turned in a record performance this season in the 1993-94
  62. NFL Football Pool sponsored by GEnie's Sports RoundTable. Playing every
  63. week, Joe picked the winners of weekend NFL games against the point
  64. spread, amassing an amazing 61.39% winning percentage by picking 132 of
  65. the 215 games throughout the season. What a record!

  67. RSCARD's newcomer Gregory Tomlin overcame a 7-0 deficit to defeat fellow
  68. first-timer Larry Bosen by a score of 9-7 and claim the championship of
  69. the RSCARDS Winter 1994 Backgammon Tournament. Third place was shared by
  70. Steve Vintner and former champion Glenn Daily; and fourth place went to
  71. David Hamilton, Judi Weiler, William Harris, and Candy Purcell. A purse of
  72. $477 in cash and connect time prizes was shared by the top four finishers.
