  13. tips and experiences on every aspect of IBM-compatible computing.

  15. The start of a new year is a great time to make sure you've got the latest
  16. versions of your favorite shareware utilities like J.P. Software's popular
  17. COMMAND.COM replacement, 4DOS (files #34457 4DOS5A.ZIP and #34456
  18. 4DOS5B.ZIP) or Vern Buerg's List (file #34205 LIST90C.ZIP). 4DOS provides
  19. enhanced functionality to familiar DOS commands, and List makes file viewing
  20. a breeze. File #31866 PKZ204G.EXE is the latest release of PKWare's
  21. essential ZIP and UNZIP utilities, while the newest version of another
  22. popula r compression utility is Arj 2.41 (file #33545 ARJ241A.EXE). Stereo
  23. Shell (file #33295 STS_410.ZIP) is a classic DOS shell and file manager.

  25. File #34379 REMIND62.ZIP, the Wilstar Daily Reminder, offers a handy way to
  26. nag yourself about your New Year's resolutions, presenting you with onscreen
  27. reminders at each daily bootup. Or, display important events from history
  28. each time you boot with file #34324 LOOKBK13.ZIP.

  32. If you're committed to the Windows operating environment or even if you're
  33. still thinking of making the move to Microsoft's popular Graphical User
  34. Interface (GUI), GEnie's Windows RoundTable at Page 1335 is the place learn

  51. buttonFile is an ideal tool for simple address and telephone lists (it will
  52. even dial for you), inventories and similar projects. Several pre -designed
  53. database templates are included and new ones are a cinch to design.
  54. ButtonFile translates data from a variety of formats, too.

  56. When you're ready for a break, try the fast-paced action of Slam! air hockey
  57. for Windows. You'll find this great evocation of the tabletop game in file
  58. #1501 WSLAM.ZIP.

  60. Laptops RoundTable

  63. or otherwise) of IBM-compatible laptops, notebooks, palmtops and other
  64. portable computers, along with users of other specialized portables. If
  65. you're interested in pen-based computing, late breaking developments are

  67. publishers of LapLink and CommWorks for Windows, among other programs of
  68. special interest to laptop users, support their products in Category 3.

  82. 1994 is sure to see more vendors joining the roster at the IBM Product
  83. Support RoundTable at Page 115. Meanwhile, vendors already active there
  84. continue to demonstrate that GEnie provides a great place for online

  86. products will find quick answers to problems, software upgrades and
  87. up-to-date information.
