-
- Welcome to the ErotiCafe CD ROM and QuickTime for Windows!
- This CD ROM contains Photos and Movies from
- some of the finest women from around the world. Also included on this disk
- is the QuickTime software from Apple Computer, Inc.
-
- About The Photographs
-
- The photographs were taken on the beaches of Florida, in the mountains of
- Utah, and in the Studios of Intimate Images Photography.
-
- About QuickTime Movies
-
- QuickTime movies add an exciting new dimension to multimedia and personal
- computing. There are some problems with the current technology, however.
- Because of the rate at which data can be read from Hard disks and CD ROM
- drives, there is a limit to the amout of information that can be displayedat a given time. These hardware limitations dictate slower frame rates,
- lower image quality and small window sizes even though the original videotape
- was of high quality. QuickTime movies are 16 bit images. The images are
- best viewed on a 24 bit, 16 bit, or grayscale display. The movies may look
- a bit "snowy" on 8 bit displays.

- INSTALLATION:
-
- To install QuickTime for Windows, run the SETUP.EXE program in the
- Setup folder on the CD.
-
- The installation will create directories for QuickTime for Windows
- files and update your AUTOEXEC.BAT file (if you wish). A QuickTime
- program group is created containing the Movie Player and Picture Viewer
- applications. For reference these applications are named PLAYER.EXE
- and VIEWER.EXE respectively. They are located in the BIN directory
- inside the SETUP directory on the CD.
-
- A directory called QTW will be created on your hard disk. It will
- contain all the QuickTime for Windows files except QTW.INI, which
- is put into the Windows directory.
-
- ///////////////////////////////
- SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
-
- To use QuickTime for Windows you should have a 386 or better CPU
- with 8-bit (256 color) or better graphics, a sound card,
- Microsoft Windows 3.1 and DOS 5.0, and a mouse. Your PC should
- have at least 4MB of RAM and an 80MB hard disk. A CD-ROM drive
- is strongly recommended, as is a large hard disk if you
- plan to store lots of Movies.
-
- For viewing digital video a 16-bit (32,000) color video adapter
- is recommended. An 8-bit display also looks good. This release
- of QuickTime for Windows is optimized for 8- and 16-bit video.
-
- ///////////////////////////////
- GETTING STARTED:
-
- If you want to look at QuickTime Movies right away, run the
- PLAYER.EXE sample application; it reproduces most functions
- of the Movie Player on Macintosh.
-
- ///////////////////////////////
- WORKING WITH PICT FILES:
-
- QuickTime for Windows can display and scale compressed Macintosh
- PICT files. Note that compressed PICTs are image files (basically
- pixmaps), not object graphics like those created in MacDraw. Object
- graphics files can be converted into image PICTs with tools like the
- Macintosh Picture Compressor from the QuickTime Macintosh Starter Kit
- or QuickTime Macintosh 1.5 development kit. Image PICTs like those
- created with Adobe PhotoShop, Aldus SuperPaint, Studio 32, or
- scanner programs will work.
-
- As an added bonus, you can view JFIF format JPEG files with the
- Picture Viewer application. These files normally use the *.jpg
- suffix.
