  3. 09-??-1986: First release of Disk Commando.
  4.  
  5. 04-28-1987: Release 1.10.
  6.  
  7. 07-24-1987: Release 2.00 with many new features. Advance Norton Utility 
  8.             like program integrator, multi-function undelete command, 
  9.             format recovery, graphic tree directory command, hex editor, 
  10.             file locator, disk and file zapper, and disk / file data 
  11.             testing / recovery.

  13. 08-16-1987: Release 2.10.

  15.             Bug fixes:
  16.  
  17.             1:  All the full screen utilites of version 2.00 did not run 
  18.                 properly on older IBM machines. Problem occurred because of 
  19.                 bug in IBM BIOS (bp register corrupted on function 10h call).
  20.             2:  Options run out of the Disk Commando Integrator were not 
  21.                 all passed correctly.
  22.             3:  The DiskOptimizer (DO) did not run CHKDSK for the 
  23.                 appropriate drive if the drive specified was not the 
  24.                 current drive.

  26.             New utilities:
  27.             
  28.             1:  FileInformation: Allows comments to be attached to 
  29.                                  files.
  30.             2:  DiskDirectory  : Allows the user to walk down a 
  31.                                  directory tree and see all the files in 
  32.                                  each directory.

  36. Still to Come:
  37.  
  38. 1: DiskCatalogger: Keep track of all files on floppies and hard disks.
  39. 2: FileSweep     : File manipulation program to perform mass copy, 
  40.                    delete, print, and other miscellaneous file 
  41.                    functions.
  42. 3: DiskBackup    : A program to back up the hard disk. Will be 2-3 times 
  43.                    faster than DOS's backup utilities.
  44. 4: UnFormat      : A program to restore a formatted hard disk even if 
  45.                    Format Recovery utility wasn't run.
  46. 5: much, much more!

  49. Availability:

  51.     The above programs are already in the works. Sandi and I hope to 
  52. make Disk Commando a full time job (live off it), but this can only 
  53. happen if people (and corporations) who use Disk Commando register. (see 
  54. documentation for information)!

  56.     We hope to update Disk Commando once every 2 months. Since our 
  57. serialization (registration) process is external to the actual '.exe' 
  58. files, registered Disk Commando users never have to pay deep for
  59. another update.  They can update one of four ways:
  60.  
  61. (1) Send us a mailer and a disk,
  62. (2) Download the latest version, unarc it, and use with their 
  63.     serialization file.
  64. (3) Send us $5.00 every 2 months or so for the latest copy.
  65. (4) Call our customer only RBBS and download it.
