-
- Bug fixes:
-
- 1: All the full screen utilites of version 2.00 did not run
- properly on older IBM machines. Problem occurred because of
- bug in IBM BIOS (bp register corrupted on function 10h call).
- 2: Options run out of the Disk Commando Integrator were not
- all passed correctly.
- 3: The DiskOptimizer (DO) did not run CHKDSK for the
- appropriate drive if the drive specified was not the
- current drive.
-
- New utilities:
-
- 1: FileInformation: Allows comments to be attached to
- files.
- 2: DiskDirectory : Allows the user to walk down a
- directory tree and see all the files in
- each directory.
-
-
-
- Still to Come:
-
- 1: DiskCatalogger: Keep track of all files on floppies and hard disks.
- 2: FileSweep : File manipulation program to perform mass copy,
- delete, print, and other miscellaneous file
- functions.
- 3: DiskBackup : A program to back up the hard disk. Will be 2-3 times
- faster than DOS's backup utilities.
- 4: UnFormat : A program to restore a formatted hard disk even if
- Format Recovery utility wasn't run.
- 5: much, much more!
-
-
- Availability:
-
- The above programs are already in the works. Sandi and I hope to
- make Disk Commando a full time job (live off it), but this can only
- happen if people (and corporations) who use Disk Commando register. (see
- documentation for information)!
-
- We hope to update Disk Commando once every 2 months. Since our
- serialization (registration) process is external to the actual '.exe'
- files, registered Disk Commando users never have to pay deep for
- another update. They can update one of four ways:
-
- (1) Send us a mailer and a disk,
- (2) Download the latest version, unarc it, and use with their
- serialization file.
- (3) Send us $5.00 every 2 months or so for the latest copy.
- (4) Call our customer only RBBS and download it.
-
-
- Happy Computing!
