Transcription: A budget digital camera looks similar to an ordinary 35mm compact camera, but it doesn't use film. The image is formed on an electronic panel like the one in your camcorder and then stored in the camera's memory. Quality falls far short of that of a conventional 35mm camera, but it's perfectly adequate for using on your web pages, for example. Prices of the cameras we looked at range from just under £200 to around £700.
