F├╝r den Fall , dass auf ihrem System eine ├ñltere Adabas D Datenbank Version installiert ist, so k├╢nnen sie problemlos diese Version parallel installieren. Es werden lediglich die Umgebungsvariablen an die aktuelle Version angepasst. Wenn Sie die alte Version wieder benutzen wollen m├╝ssen sie die Umgebungsvariablen wieder von Hand anpassen. Siehe hierzu auch weiter unten in dieser Readme.

  22. Diese Version der Adabas D Datenbank ist auf maximal 3 User und 100 MB begrenzt. Information zu weiteren Versionen von Adabas D finden sie unter http://www.adabas.com

  28. Zur Benutzung von Adabas D m├╝ssen folgende Variablen gesetzt sein:

  30. - DBROOT auf das Installationsverzeichnis von Adabas D z.B.: c:\adabas
  31. - DBCONFIG auf das Verzeichnis %DBROOT%\sql
  32. - DBWORK auf das Verzeichnis %DBROOT%\sql
  33. - Die Umgebungsvariable PATH muss den folgenden Pfad enthalten: %DBROOT%\bin und %DBROOT%\pgm
  34. - Sollte es zu Problemen beim Arbeiten mit ADABAS D kommen, ├╝berpr├╝fen sie bitte zuerst diese Variablen.

  36. Bitte beachten:

Das Setup von Adabas D setzt unter Win95/98 die o.g. Variablen in der AUTOEXEC.BAT. Deshalb ist es unbedingt notwendig nach der Installation ein Neustart durchzuf├╝hren. Unter Windows NT/2000 werden die Umgebungsvariablen in den Benutzervariablen eingestellt. Es ist normalerweise nicht n├╢tig einen Neustart durchzuf├╝hren. Die Praxis hat jedoch gezeigt, dass es in Einzelf├ñllen auch unter Windows NT n├╢tig sein kann.

StarOffice benutzt Info-ZIP zum Erstellen und Entpacken der StarOffice Installation, sowie zum Packen und Entpacken des StarOffice XML Dateiformats. Info-ZIP Programme (ZIP, UnZip und weitere Utilities) sind frei verf├╝gbar und k├╢nnen im Source Code und als ausf├╝hrbares Programm von verschiedenen Anonymous-FTP Seiten wie z.B. ftp.uu.net:/pub/archiving/zip/*. bezogen werden.
